The Owens Valley Radio Observatory (OVRO) is one of the largest university-operated radio observatories in the world. It is operated by the Astronomy department of the California Institute of Technology. Known by locals as 'The Big Ears', the observatory is located near Bishop, California, approximately 250 miles north of Los Angeles on the east side of the Sierra Nevada.
Our Mission
Continue OVRO's distinguished tradition of compelling scientific investigations in astronomy and astrophysics;
Provide facilities for the training of the next generation of astronomers;
Support the development of state-of-the-art astronomical instrumentation;
Inclusively share the Observatory's research mission and tradition with students and the general public, thereby supporting awareness and enthusiasm for science and technology and the roles they play in our society;
Below is “poster” layout. Separate items/blocks as well.
The blocks below are “simple grid” blocks where the images come as a package. The caption styles are not adjustable but all the images size and ratio can be adjusted at once, as well as spacing (can be brought to zero). The block itself can be made bigger (choices: inset as shown, larger, and full bleed across the screen also shown)
