Kieran is Associate Director of Owens Valley Radio Observatory and heads the Cahill Radio Astronomy Lab (CRAL). As PI of the CO Mapping Array Project (COMAP), he leads an effort to trace the global properties of galaxies over cosmic time, by intensity-mapping redshifted carbon monoxide emission from the epoch of galaxy assembly, and ultimately, from the Epoch of Reionization. At the CRAL, he leads an effort to push the cryogenic performance of low noise amplifiers to their fundamental limits and use these state-of-the-art detectors in new receivers at the forefront of radio astronomy.
